BusLogic ticketing systems increases the efficiency of the carrier through an automatic ticket sales with online control by using BusLogic Software - application to which the units of the system connects via GPRS.
Fiscal cash register which is mainly designed for an in door use can't provide proper results in this area because it doesn't meet several aspects: don't operate in conditions of high humidity level, significant temperature variation and high vibration produced in buses. For these reasons D-Logic chose the launch a new improved product (heavy duty perch) in order to operate in an environment where the temperature is in the range of -20 ° C to +60 ° C and with higher humidity and the conditions of constant vibration.
The problem of bad reviews is solved by installing the Olead Display in BusLogic Terminal and also the energy consumption is reduced which makes an additional comfort when using this device. Inside the case of BusLogic Terminal near the OLED display is the antenna - reader and when Mifare® card is put card is held near the display, the device can read the drivers data, the time when the ride starts etc. All read information are proceed to the server. For the terminals next-generation D-Logic plans to install Olead display with polarizer which has special characteristics and in bright sunlight creates an even more expressive contrast. The keyboard has a dual contacts, LEDs on each key and a photo sensor that activates them at night. Epoxy at the top of the keyboard prevents removal - peeling of the print. The keyboard is silicone. As well as a complete device, this part was designed by the 3D artist – Rastko Stanojević. The text on the keyboard is printed in Serbian language but it can also be changed on demand.
BusLogic Cache Terminal has an integrated GPRS which is intended for communication devices with a central D-LOGIC server This allows regular and timely updating of all price lists, tax rates, Black list, discount tariff, stations codes with geographical positions, reservations checking, passengers lists for the planned departure, messages to drivers and many other data necessary for bus drivers.
Communication between the terminal and printer is wireless - performed by RF antenna embedded in the case of both units (terminals and printers). With usage of the transmitter, RF antenna enables mutual device data exchange at a distance of up to 100 meters at the frequency of 433 MHz. This communication neads less electric power compared to GPRS connection. By placing the RF antenna into the device case, D-Logic achieved better protection from possible failure or damage when dropped.
Neodymium magnets which are built into the casing and the terminal holder are 10 times stronger than conventional and are an extra leash prevention. While developing plastic case, D-Logic designed an appropriate links for the Neodymium magnets that holds the device onto the rubber base and there is no rigid connection so the vibrations are depreciated.
Self-extinguishing ABS plastic which is used for BusLogic Terminal case making provides additional protection not only for terminal but also for its environment. Industrial design of the case is adapted to operate on the specific conditions in the buses (vibration, moisture, drop devices, etc.) while its appearance meets the aesthetic demands of carriers that have an extremely luxurious vehicles. The case is ergonomic - no sharp edges which reduces the risk of injury of a driver or passengers in emergency braking conditions, traffic accidents and so on..
This device package is also used in the booking system - a system for booking tickets. It may represent independent sales office with updated information related to the number of available seats or other informations (automatically downloaded from a central server via GPRS). Receiving and sending information to the server is done even when the vehicle is moving. The system records and transmits information about sold tickets on the bus in real time, which provides the insight into the number of passengers on the bus and the number of places available. BusLogic terminal is predicted to be expend with four SIM card holders so the system user has the opportunity to use the services of various mobile operators for GPRS connection. In this way is possible to achieve cost savings by reducing the price of GPRS traffic, especially if users have international lines that often might cause an extremely high cost of roaming when using a single SIM card.
Electronics of BusLogic Terminal is protected against condensation with silicone plastic layer and this also strengthens the connections between components and printed circuit. When designing hardware of bus terminal within the case is predicted the a place for the implementation of 2D barcode scanner based on IR CMOS image sensor with no moving parts (rotating laser, mobile mirrors, etc.), whose development is in the final stage and also in progress is a development of wireless battery charge for terminal with printer by using electromagnetic induction.
