An important characteristic of D-logic access control system is the possibility of spatial and temporal restriction of access for each RFID Mifare card in accordance with the permissions for individual user. By using the AIS Silver or AIS Gold Exchange  the system administrator can define each RFID card in a specific way (where and when the entrance is allowed).

The access rights for all ID cards defines a system administrator by using a PC application for programming the system exchange. Administrator inputs the parameters needed for Mifare ID card selection, enters the number of ID cards in the Black list if the ID card is lost or after the termination of the work or other reason for access to official premises. Applications for defining access rights enables nine different variations of access to be applied for one ID card (the time intervals, the readers number and entry points, etc).

Except for comfort in use, this method of access control provides some cost savings compared to the classic keys usage because in the case of loss or the termination of one's ID card there is no need to change the locks or made new keys. A particular benefit of using D-Logic system for access control is the high security level that is achieved by  high-speed restricting access to carrier of the lost cards or cards which abolished permission to enter. In this way the potential abuse is almost eliminated.

During the interruption in supply of electricity, the devices continue to operate in the next 8-10 hours. Read events are stored in memory storage with the possibility to store up to 8000 last events. This memory could be expanded if system user needs.

For pass checking contactless Mifare cards  are used. The print and design by the users wish is performed by professional printers (see the selection of PVC ID card). Reading RFID contactless card is done by putting it to the card reader at a distance up to 10cm and the reader gives a sound and light signal (green light) to inform the user that the card is read and allow him access to the aria. If the card number is recorded in the Black list or is not the adequate number of ID card ( some other system  card's) access to the controlled area will be refused and the reader will give a signal (red light) to inform the user that he is not allowed to access the aria.

ID cards for access control can be used for other services of the D-logic offer, such as time and attendance, vehicle tracking, records of the machines work and a variety of internal non-cash payments (cafeteria, vending machines, etc).
